Hallamshire Family Restaurant is a nice eatery located a short drive off of US 30. The parking lot is not the largest and some people were parking on the grass. Interior is larger than you expect, and they offer both table and counter top seating. Has a reasonably deep breakfast menu and we got both our beverages and food quickly despite it being a busy Sunday. I ordered a two-egg breakfast with an additional egg, that came with hashbrowns, bacon, and toast. All were good and they also have good coffee. The standout item our group ordered however, was the French Toast. They appear to use Texas Toast and the slices are HUGE. The only item that wasn't good was the chocolate chip pancake, it didn't really have any flavor. Prices were very reasonable and the service was good. I would come back here to try the lunch menu without question.

Was stopping through and decided to try this place out. This feels like a big town diner with a small mom and pop vibe. The food feels expertly cooked and prepared like you're coming home for dinner. Four of us came to eat and all of us finished our plates. I got the fish and chips. Standard and good. I'd get it again for sure. Service was good, but the restaurant was packed for a Friday night service.

First time visit. Drove by looking for a new place for breakfast and their parking lot was full. Only had a minute wait while they reset a table, and they took our drink order immediately. It was hard to decide what to order, as I judge a place on how good their chipped beef is, but they also had gyro omelets, which are my weakness. I settled on the Sampler and got eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and a biscuit with chipped beef. My husband got a ham steak and eggs. The chipped beef was light on the beef, but tasted good, and the biscuit was very light, obviously baked there. My husband said the ham was a real ham steak and he enjoyed it. I never did finish my coffee, as the wait staff filled it every so often with their great coffee. I saw them clearing a table that was just vacated and started counting. Less than 30 seconds and they were seating new customers. Full parking lot and fast turn over, we knew it was a great place. NO complaints at all about the wait staff! And only minor ones about the food. We'll definitely be back, and I recommend this place to anyone who eats food.

My boyfriend and I were passing through for work and spotted this little restaurant. As soon as we walked inside we were warmly greeted and pointed toward our seats. The waitress was immediately out to take our drink order and tell us the specials. He decided on biscuits & gravy with hash browns and I ordered an egg, home fries, onion, pepper scramble. It was delicious and the portions were very generous. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting a good, filling home style meal.

The breakfast was on point. I went for Brunch with some of my girlfriends. The first mistake we made was going after church hours. The restaurant was full, not an empty table in the place and no social distance was enforced and that made me uncomfortable. The food was delicious though. Our order consisted of Baked Oatmeal, Sausage Gravy Scramble, and Mushroom and Cheese Omelet. Baked Oatmeal: was good, not the best ever, very good none the less. Brown sugar and milk was added. It was served with a side of fruit. Omelet: good size and cooked perfectly. It was a decent omelet and it would get ordered again. The downfall was that different toast costs a little more money, you want rye or sourdough, then you gotta pay more for it. Scramble: this was amazing. It was a large biscuit cut in half, the biscuit was topped with hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and Colby jack cheese. The biscuit was buttery perfection. It was not dry, it was crumbly perfection. The sausage had the perfect ratio of sausage and gravy. The sausage gravy welcomed you to flavor town. The eggs and hash brown were what you would expect for a diner and it was topped with melted cheese. Would repeatedly order this meal over and over again. I would make the trip across town to get this sausage gravy, definitely not during the same time. I would need it to be slower in the restaurant, because Covid still got me shook.

I took my friend who didn't know about this restaurant for her birthday. Place was busy but no wait to be seated. Our choice was orange juice which is fresh squeezed and sausage gravy over biscuits with hash brown with onions. Came out hot and so delicious. Meal stuck with me all day. Our waitress was very nice and punctual even with full area. My friend enjoyed the experience as well
